I am the mama of two breastfed daughters, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), La Leche League Leader and founder and owner of the Mother-Infant Lactation Center. I 'm deeply passionate about breastfeeding and believe in empowering mothers to help them enjoy the wonder of their newborn infants.
Professionally, I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Master’s Degree in Human Development with a specialization in human lactation and later successfully completed an advanced Lactation Consultant program through the University of California San Diego. I have extensive experience in hospital and community settings with over ten years clinical experience in the Breastfeeding Department at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center working with breastfeeding mothers in the mother-baby unit, neonatal intensive care unit, and in Outpatient Services as breastfeeding instructor for expectant and new parents and nursing staff.
While I specialize in low milk supply and tongue tie issues, I am privileged to offer support and encouragement where breastfeeding just needs a helping hand in the first few days until everyone gains confidence.
I maintain an active private practice inside BINI Birth located in the beautiful Pondella Building in Sherman Oaks. I offer private office and home visit consultations, teach breastfeeding classes, facilitate several breastfeeding support groups and lecture on various lactation topics. I attend attend numerous professional seminars and conferences annually and remain current in new practices and recommendations. I am a current member of the United States Lactation Consultant Association, International Lactation Consultant Association and La Leche League International.
